Task & responsibilities

• Diagnosis of automotive vehicles (various makes and models). 
• Ability to figure out the fault, repair, and provide the best possible solution
• Mechanical repairs, including periodic servicing, brake repair, clutches, and timing belts repair/replacement on different makes and models.
• Inspect and run diagnostic tests to discover functional issues. 
• Dismantle and replace or repair the defective part or equipment. 
• Change engine and transmission oils. 
• Conduct quality checks before returning vehicles. 
• Adhere to and follow work safety guidelines, report any hazards, general housekeeping and workshop maintenance
• Detailed work is required to achieve roadworthiness
• Train other workshop staff
• May be required to respond to vehicle breakdown service calls.

Qualification & experience

• Australian Qualifications minimum (Certificate III or IV)
• Minimum 3 years prior experience in a similar role
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised
• AC Handling License regarded but not essential
• High attention to detail
