About the role

SMART ENGINEERING (QLD) PTY LTD is seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is based in Rocklea, QLD 4106 and offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic engineering environment. You should be mechanically minded. As a Labourer, you will provide essential support to our operations, also be will to learn about Hydraulic Cylinders. All teaching and training will be done on site.

Key responsibilities

1. Support tradespeople and engineers by preparing materials and tools required for ongoing work as advised

2. Will be trained in stripping (dismantling) Hydraulic Cylinders

3. Will be trained in the assembly of Hydraulic Cylinders and testing

4. Maintain a clean and organised work environment

5. Perform general maintenance tasks and assist with basic repairs as directed

6. Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

7. Report any hazards, damage or safety concerns to supervisory staff immediately

What we're looking for

1. Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour on a full-time basis

2. Strong work ethic, reliability and punctuality

3. The ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team

4. Basic literacy and numeracy skills

5. Must be mechanically minded

6. A valid driver's licence (advantageous)

7. Good communication skills and a professional attitude
