Labourer/ Tradesman– Marine Industry

QUIETFIRE is looking for a dependable and motivated Labourer/Tradesperson to join our team in Hobart. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of projects within the marine trades and services industry. You will contribute to the successful delivery of projects by supporting daily operations and maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist qualified tradespeople with project setup, preparation, and completion.

• Carry out general labouring duties, including material handling and site clean-up.

• Safely use and maintain hand tools and power tools.

• Transport, organise, and manage materials, equipment, and tools on-site.

• Work collaboratively with the team to achieve project deadlines and quality outcomes.

• Undertake additional labouring duties as directed by supervisors and team leaders.

• Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual work and heavy lifting.

• A strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.

• The ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.

• A basic understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.

• Experience using common hand and power tools.

• Flexibility to work varying hours as required.

• A willingness to learn and develop trade-related skills.

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

• A background in metal trades.

• Previous experience in labouring, marine, or metal industry environments.
