Novel Smash Repairs is seeking a hands-on and reliable Motor Vehicle Parts and Accessories Fitter to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical skills who enjoys working on a variety of vehicles and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.

In this role, you will be responsible for fitting, replacing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle parts and accessories. You will work with different vehicle systems to ensure all components are installed safely, correctly, and to a high standard.

Task & responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles to identify parts and accessories that require repair, replacement, or installation
• Remove worn, faulty, or damaged components, including radiators, cooling systems, and exhaust or muffler systems
• Install and replace a variety of parts and accessories such as batteries, thermostats, exhaust systems, sunroofs, audio systems, alarms, seats, and seat covers
• Remove and refit automotive glass, ensuring proper alignment, sealing, and finish
• Repair or replace exhaust components, including muffler and pipes, as required
• Clean and prepare work areas before and after installation or repair tasks
• Test, adjust, and calibrate fitted components to ensure proper performance and functionality
• Use a range of hand tools and power tools to carry out fitting, repair, and replacement work
• Maintain a clean and safe environment and follow all safety procedures

Qualification & experience

• Proven experience as a Motor Vehicle Parts and Accessories Fitter
• Strong hands-on skills and mechanical knowledge
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
