Overview of Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified printer to join our team at Acacia Ridge, QLD. You will be directly responsible for the running of a flexographic printing press. You will be part of a team who are on a journey to out-perform and meet our customers' needs through manufacturing excellence and innovation. The position will be working on our Night Shift, 22:00pm - 6:00am: Sunday to Thursday which attracts a 30% loading.

As a Flexographic Printer you will be responsible for:

• Operating print presses safely and efficiently - maximising speed and quality whilst minimising downtime, whilst maintaining the highest level of quality assurance.

• Meeting or exceeding production standards for output and setup allowance

• Communicating issues as they arise within and between shifts

• Engaging in and promote Continuous Improvement

• Print trouble shooting and other print related tasks

• Printing trade assistant duties when required

• Ink technician tasks when required

• Mounting printing plates on the new FAMM when required

To be successful in this role you will ideally have or be:

• Trade Qualification in printing (Certificate 111 in Printing and Graphic Arts or equivalent)

• Proficient in color matching techniques, densitometer operations, and print quality measurement systems.

• Ability to safely operate the printing press and other plant and equipment

• Strong colour aptitude and eye for detail

• Good numeracy & Communication skills

• The ability to work as part of a team

• Ability to troubleshoot and be clear under pressure

• A strong quality background and ability to perform quality checks

• Ideally a minimum of 3 (preferably 5+) years hands-on printing experience in a manufacturing environment, with high-speed machines.

• Proven problem-solving ability and a good level of mechanical competence.

• Sound experience with interpreting, then delivering on production plans.

• Knowledge of Quality, Safety and Environmental standards as well as Good Manufacturing Practice.

Hourly rate will depend on skills and experience for the right individual.

The role is a full-time, permanent position based in our Acacia Ridge Site.
