Atkinson Group Merredin is seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our operations in the WA Wheatbelt and carry out maintenance and repairs on agricultural machinery in this full-time ongoing position (38 hours/week)

Task & Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and overhaul agricultural equipment such as tractors, sprayers, harvesters, trucks, airseeders, bailers and mowers
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance
• Diagnose, repair, or replace defective parts
• Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters and hand tools
• Keep accurate records of work performed

Qualification & Experience

• Extensive knowledge of agricultural machinery essential
• Relevant qualifications with at least 2 years experience repairing and maintaining agricultural machinery
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working in a rural setting desirable
