The Role

As a Trade Assistant, you are an individual who carries out tasks to support the project delivery team in the construction of renewable energy power generation assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• General works (workshop & site based)
• Operation of fixed plant and equipment (including mobile equipment)
• General maintenance of fixed plant and equipment (including mobile equipment)
• Reading and interpretation of engineering drawings
• Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, etc checks on plant & equipment (including mobile equipment)
• Record keeping (physical paperwork and online entering of data)
• Assembly of systems
• Compliance with HSE policies, ensuring workplace compliance, and reporting hazards and near misses
• Liaising with client (if required)

About You:

• C class drivers’ licence
• Forklift licence
• Telehandler with CN endorsement
• Skid steer ticket
• Construction Industry Card
• Assorted mobile equipment licences/tickets/competencies.
• General experience in mechanical assembly
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Excellent communication and time management skills, conflict resolution abilities and confidence dealing with a wide range of people, from tradespeople to customers/stakeholders and supervisors
• Understanding of HSE requirements
