About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Automotive Electrician to join our workshop team in Beverley, South Australia. The role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components across a range of vehicles and equipment.


Task & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical diagnostics using specialised scan tools and modern testing devices to evaluate faults in automotive systems.
  • Carefully disassemble vehicle components to access, assess, and replace worn or damaged electrical modules and wiring systems.
  • Carry out structured installation of vehicle wiring, control units, sensors, and electrical systems based on schematics and job specifications.
  • Integrate power-operated components such as lighting, navigation, and auxiliary systems with the vehicle’s existing power supply.
  • Modify and fine-tune ignition and engine management systems to optimise efficiency and performance.
  • Identify and rectify electrical issues by repairing or swapping out malfunctioning components such as alternators, starters, relays, and circuit elements.
  • Provide electrical servicing support for fleet overhaul and modification programs, ensuring systems are installed and functioning correctly.
  • Work closely with workshop staff to troubleshoot system-wide performance issues and contribute to holistic vehicle servicing.
  • Record diagnostic outcomes, repair actions, and service data accurately for reporting and future reference.
  • Uphold safety and workshop cleanliness standards while adhering to relevant workplace health and safety regulations and practices.

Qualification & Experience

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this position, the candidate must have:

  • A relevant Certificate IV in Automotive Electrical Technology (or equivalent international qualification);
  • At least 2 years of full-time relevant work experience in automotive electrical systems.
  • Sound diagnostic and fault-finding skills across various makes and models.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical schematics.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment check.
  • A valid Australian police clearance and/or international police clearance (if applicable).
