We’re seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Handyperson to join our on-site team and maintain the high standards our residents expect. If you’re the kind of person who can turn your hand to anything and doesn’t mind getting stuck in - keep reading!

About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day presentation, upkeep, and smooth operation of the property. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a well-run, professional environment.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be out and about on site, keeping things running smoothly. So you can expect to:

• Carry out general maintenance and repairs (basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, patching, and fittings)

• Respond promptly and professionally to resident maintenance requests

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance

• Identify and escalate more complex issues to the Maintenance Manager or external contractors

• Assist with set-ups and movement of furniture or equipment when required

• Maintain clean, safe, and well-presented common areas

• Keep clear and accurate records of completed work

Safety matters

Safety is a priority for us. We will want you to: 

• Follow great WHS practices on every job

• Use tools, equipment, and PPE appropriately & safely

• Report hazards, incidents, and risks in a timely manner

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years in maintenance, facilities, or handyperson work

• Solid all-rounder skills across basic trades

• Comfortable with physical, hands-on work

• Reliable, organised, and able to juggle a few jobs at once

• Easy to get along with, approachable and respectful -good with residents and our team

• Great problem-solving skills and attention to the little details

• Committed to safety and delivering quality workmanship

Bonus points if you’ve worked in apartments, residential properties, student accommodation, or Build-to-Rent.
