Task & responsibilities

Responsibility

Maintains, tests and repairs a wide range of vehicles, particularly European vans and motorhomes, in accordance with industry standards.

Duties

• Vehicle Inspection and Diagnostics: Conduct thorough inspections and perform advanced diagnostic scans on commercial vans and motorhomes, particularly European models (e.g., Fiat Ducato, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Iveco). Accurately identify mechanical and electrical faults using specialised diagnostic equipment.
• Repairs and Component Replacement: Carry out repairs and replacements of defective components, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, and electrical systems, ensuring all work meets manufacturer and industry standards.
• Routine Servicing and Maintenance: Perform logbook servicing and routine maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes, fluid checks, and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance and reliability.
• Road Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct comprehensive road tests on vans and motorhomes following repairs or servicing to ensure roadworthiness, safety, and efficient operation, with a strong focus on minimizing downtime for commercial clients.

Qualification & experience

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate IV or at least three years of relevant experience
• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training.
