About the role
As part of the Land Management team, you will undertake daily operational duties as prescribed by the Grounds Supervisor to deliver the safe, effective and efficient delivery of land and grounds maintenance. You will be based in the remote area of Learmonth working across all our bases. this role will include but is not limited to:
- Propagate, plant, and undertake revegetation across diverse landscapes.
- Perform general grounds tasks including debris and rubbish removal, cleaning of outdoor features and hardstand areas, line marking, and managing injured or deceased wildlife.
- Mulching, pruning, hedging, turf care, pest control and the application of chemicals and fertilisers.
- Operate and maintain equipment in accordance with the Operator’s Manual and scheduled maintenance requirements.
- Operation of mowers, tractors, small plant, machinery and both powered & non-powered hand tools.
- Work across all bases as agreed with the Supervisor, based on operational needs.
About You
- Certificate 3 in Horticulture or Certificate 3 in Parks and Gardens (desirable)
- Chemical Risk Management Level 3 skill set (willing to obtain)
- Operate and maintain Chainsaw ticket (willing to obtain)
- 2 + years’ experience in a similar working environment.
- Experience with operating and maintaining plant and equipment.
- Experience in manual handling.
- Experience working within an Environmental Management System.
- HR license (desirable)
- Skid Steer (desirable).
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police Check
