Job Opportunity: Maintenance Person / Groundskeeper – Barkroyal Pet Resort
We are a small, family run business just outside of Nerang, which offers a 5-star service for dogs and cats. This is a full-time position across multiple locations.
Permanent Casual $32 per hour
Do you enjoy working outdoors, getting your hands dirty, and being around dogs all day? Barkroyal Pet Resort is looking for a reliable and proactive Maintenance Person / Groundskeeper to help keep our resort clean, safe, and running smoothly for our four-legged guests.
About the Role:
As a key part of the Barkroyal team, you'll take care of day-to-day property and facility maintenance to ensure a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for both dogs and staff. No two days are the same, and your work will directly contribute to the comfort and wellbeing of our guests.
Duties Include (but is not limited to):
General repairs and maintenance
Mowing, whipper snipping, weed control, and general garden upkeep
Cleaning kennels, outdoor play areas, paths, and equipment
Maintaining multiple swimming pools
Managing waste removal (including pet waste and rubbish)
Monitoring and maintaining tools, supplies, and equipment and machinery
Ensuring all outdoor areas are safe, clean, and presentable
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Has experience in maintenance, landscaping, or similar hands-on roles
Is physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
Is confident and calm around dogs of all breeds and sizes
Can work independently and manage time effectively
Takes pride in their work and has great attention to detail
Has a great attitude and be able to mix with different personalities
Has a valid open driver’s license
Bonus Skills (Not Essential):
Trade or handyman background
Landscaping background
Experience working in kennels, farms, or animal care environments
Able to reverse a trailer
