Are you passionate about the land and dedicated to keeping things running smoothly? Husk Distillers, Australia’s first cane juice rum distillery and home of Ink Gin, is seeking a talented and committed Groundskeeper and General Maintenance officer to help maintain our stunning 150-acre farm and visitor venue in North Tumbulgum, Northern NSW.

Nestled in the beautiful Tweed Valley, our distillery and farm are the heart of our farm to bottle philosophy and a key agri-tourism destination. Your work will directly contribute to the beauty and functionality that our staff and thousands of visitors enjoy year-round.

 The Role:

This diverse, hands-on role is essential to maintaining the high standards of presentation and functionality across our beautiful property.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Groundskeeping: Mowing, whipper-snipping, weeding, pruning, hedging, watering and general upkeep of the distillery grounds, gardens, and high-traffic visitor areas to an exceptional standard.

• Grounds Equipment Upkeep: Operating and maintaining grounds equipment (mowers, blowers, etc.) and ensuring tools are kept in good working order.

• General Maintenance & Repairs: Performing general repairs and maintenance around the distillery, cellar door and farm.

• Waste Management: Assisting with the organisation of on-site waste management and composting systems, aligning with our strong sustainability ethos.

• Support: Assisting the distillery and hospitality teams with setting up for events and other general farm/site duties as required.

About You

• Experience: Proven experience in groundskeeping or horticulture. Experience in a maintenance role or on a working farm is highly regarded.

• Skills: Proficient in operating grounds maintenance equipment. Basic knowledge and practical skills in general repairs and maintenance.

• Attitude: You are a motivated self-starter who takes pride in your work, has a keen eye for detail, and can work independently to manage daily tasks.

• Values: You have a respect for the environment and an affinity for our 'farm to bottle' and sustainability ethos.

• Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license and the legal right to work in Australia.
