About the role

As the Lead Gardener (General Maintenance) at Nomadic Home & Garden Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the company's prestigious property portfolio in Adelaide, SA. This full-time position requires an experienced horticulturist who can oversee a team of gardeners and ensure the highest standards of landscaping and grounds maintenance.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervising a team of gardeners and coordinating their daily tasks to ensure efficient and effective grounds maintenance

  • Carrying out horticultural activities such as mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, fertilising and planting

  • Identifying and addressing issues with the landscape, including pest and disease management

  • Maintaining garden equipment and tools in good working condition

  • Providing expert guidance and training to the gardening team

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations

  • Collaborating with the property management team to deliver exceptional client service

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a lead gardener or head groundskeeper, preferably in a commercial or high-end residential setting

  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in a lead gardener or head groundskeeper role

  • Strong horticultural knowledge and the ability to identify and treat a wide range of plant species

  • A valid driver's licence and the ability to work on weekends and public holidays as required

  • Car licence (C class) is required for this position

  • Proficiency in the use of gardening equipment and machinery

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

  • Effective leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation

  • Australian work rights are required for this position
