Good Shepherd Lutheran College is seeking a motivated Grounds Person to join our Grounds and Maintenance Team. Applications close Friday 9 January 2026.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone that enjoys working outdoors, previous landscaping experience highly regarded. If you take pride in maintaining high-quality gardens and turf this is the perfect role for you. Working under the Grounds and Maintenance Supervisor, you will support the College in maintaining great looking gardens and fields.

About the Role

  • Hands-on, outdoor role.

  • Maintain lawns, gardens and landscaped areas across the College

  • Operate gardening and grounds equipment safely (mowers, hedgers, line trimmers, leaf blowers, hand tools, etc.)

  • Assist with event setup and support of College operations as required

  • Support other teams across the College when required

About You

  • Take pride in keeping environments neat, tidy and well-maintained

  • Practical, reliable and safety-focused

  • Enjoy working as part of a team and communicating with a range of people

  • Physical fitness level suited to grounds and gardens outdoor work

  • Hold a current Class C driver’s license (or better)

  • Have or willing to obtain a BlueCard (Queensland Working with Children)

  • Previous landscaping/garden maintenance experience would be a bonus

 What We Offer

  • Full-time role – 38 hours per week

  • Grounds Level 2(a) - $65,202 per year + 12.75% superannuation

  • 4 weeks paid annual leave + 17.5% leave loading

  • Generally 7am starts with flexibility based on tasks

  • Supportive team environment

  • Beautiful campus with varied work across gardens, sports fields and outdoor spaces

  • Conditions in line with the Queensland Lutheran Schools Single Enterprise Agreement

Good Shepherd is a co-educational Prep to Year 12 Lutheran College that serves the families of the breathtakingly beautiful Noosa district on the Sunshine Coast.  Centrally located 130kms from the Brisbane CBD, Good Shepherd Lutheran College is situated on a 9.5 hectare campus. The College has a total enrolment of approximately 1120 students.  Our College is part of the ministry of The Lutheran Church in Queensland and has strong ties to the Noosa Lutheran Parish.  Good Shepherd has built a recognised record of both academic success and Christian care.
