Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair and maintain motor vehicles, including 4WD and off-road vehicles, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Australian standards
• Inspect, test and repair mechanical systems such as engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, braking and drivetrain components
• Perform fault diagnosis and rectification using diagnostic tools and road testing
• Carry out mechanical repairs, replacements and adjustments to ensure vehicle safety, performance and reliability
• Install and modify suspension systems, including lift kits and associated mechanical components
• Conduct quality control inspections and ensure completed vehicles meet safety and compliance requirements
• Install ancillary 4WD accessories (such as bull bars, snorkels, winches and related systems) where required as part of mechanical upgrades
• Maintain accurate service records and comply with workplace health and safety procedures

Skills and Experience Required

• Relevant qualification as a Motor Mechanic (General) or equivalent
• Minimum 2–3 years post-qualification experience in mechanical servicing and repair
• Demonstrated experience working on 4WD or off-road vehicles
• Strong mechanical diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy workshop environment
• Current Australian driver’s licence (preferred)
