About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join URBAN SCIENCE APPLICATIONS, INC.' as a Senior Manager supporting our Dealer Financial Reporting solution. This position is based in our Melbourne office. In this full-time position, you will play a key strategic role in driving the company's growth and expansion initiatives. What you'll be doing

Monthly Submission Management:

Maintaining dealers’ submission levels and maximizing the quality of data submitted whilst providing dealers with assistance regarding specific accounting topics in relation to the FinancialView solution:

• Manages all aspects of the business management monthly reporting system

• Facilitate all aspects of the monthly composite reporting close process to improve data quality and submission efficiency over time.

• Provide telephone support to dealers during the close period to assist with

  • linking new accounts within the account map

  • answering accounting and bookkeeping queries

  • advising on errors and warnings and other data validation queries

  • submitting the data to FinancialView

• Check financial and statistical data of dealers; highlight any general accounting problems/themes within the data to the dealer and client.

• Work with dealers to improve and maintain the accuracy and consistency of collected data.

• Conduct a monthly composite close review meeting with the client

• Answer/assist clients with queries about reported values, detailed questions about the data of specific dealers, and requests for analysis on the dealer data

• Coordinate and organize meetings for the dealer performance group and the financial controller.

• Ensuring the client is gaining maximum benefit from the financial data collected and reported.

• Preparation and review of financial reports for review with the client, Management, and Executive teams.

Ideal Experience

• 10+ years of Automotive Business Management experience gained at an OEM / Dealer / Dealer Group / Consultancy, including previous experience with dealership financial analysis/dealer financial reporting solutions

• In-depth knowledge of dealership accounting practices

• Strong project management skills; able to manage multiple projects concurrently

• Experience working for an OEM as an accountant with frequent dealer interaction or at the dealership level as an accountant, including the management of dealer accounts, budgets, daily operating controls, etc.

• Familiarity with methods and processes in relation to dealer performance management and performance group meetings

• Comfortable using the standard suite of Microsoft Office software - particularly Excel

• Prior experience managing direct reports.
