About the role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Gardener to join our team at Grace Gardens Horticultural Services' in Brisbane. This is a casual position, allowing you to maintain a flexible work schedule. As a Gardener, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the beautiful gardens and landscapes we manage throughout the local area.

What you'll be doing

1. Performing regular garden maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, weeding, and pruning

2. Planting and caring for a variety of ornamental plants, trees, and shrubs

3. Applying mulch, fertilisers, and other soil amendments to promote plant health

4. Identifying and addressing plant health issues

5. Ensuring gardens and landscapes are kept clean, tidy, and presentable

6. Providing exceptional customer service to our clients

7. Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

8. Travelling between client sites throughout the local area with a current provisional or full driver's licence

9. Must hold either a current provisional or full driver's licence for travelling between client sites

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience working as a Gardener or in a similar horticultural role

2. Students encouraged to apply also

3. Strong knowledge of garden maintenance practices, plant care, and landscaping techniques

4. Ability to operate a variety of gardening equipment and tools safely and efficiently

5. Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour tasks

6. Ability to perform very heavy lifting tasks of 25kg or more as required for manual labour duties

7. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards

8. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

9. Relevant qualifications in horticulture or a related field would be highly regarded
