We are seeking an experienced Production Assistant (Engineering Technologist) to analyse and enhance our existing engineering technologies, systems and manufacturing processes. In this role, you will apply engineering principles and contemporary technological methods to assess current machinery, equipment and operational workflows, identifying opportunities to modify, improve and optimise performance.
You will review our existing technologies and processes, determine where upgrades or improvements are required, and prepare detailed technical documentation, including updated drawings, specifications and cost estimates. You will be responsible for supporting the implementation of approved upgrades, ensuring technologies are integrated effectively and safely into operations.
As part of your duties, you will run engineering technologies through structured testing procedures, evaluate performance outcomes, record findings and ensure that all modifications meet safety, compliance and operational standards. You will update internal engineering documentation, including SOPs, and provide technical guidance and training to operators to support smooth adoption of new or modified technologies.
Following implementation, you will continue to monitor and assess technology performance, prepare detailed reports on system behaviour and efficiency, and recommend any further refinements or enhancements necessary to ensure optimal functionality.
This role requires a technically skilled professional capable of bridging engineering design with practical technology implementation, ensuring that engineering solutions are sound, effective and aligned with organisational goals.
