Task & Responsibilities

Perform mechanical servicing and repairs on light vehicles

Diagnose faults in engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension systems

Carry out logbook servicing, safety checks, and pre-purchase inspections

Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify issues

Test drive vehicles to confirm issues and validate repairs

Maintain workshop cleanliness and uphold WHS standards

Communicate repair needs and timelines clearly with the workshop team

Qualification & Experience

Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)

Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as a motor mechanic

Sound understanding of automotive systems and components

Ability to diagnose and repair a range of mechanical faults

Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A current driver’s licence is preferred

A successful skill assessment in the nominated position
