Skippers Transport has been providing transport services in Perth originating in 1961.

A position has become available at our Welshpool operation and are therefore seeking a Transport Fleet Controller for our busy Container/Transport Division.

Your primary responsibility in this critical role is to provide ultimate fleet control, have excellent customer service, polite and accurate phone manner, work with & assist operational staff & Operations Manager. Also ensuring total customer satisfaction both internally and externally having safety being always in the forefront of all delegations a must.

You will be required to:

• Have prior knowledge of Wharf Operations

• Minimum 5 years experience within the transport industry

• Provide exceptional customer service

• Manage multiple priorities

• Communicate on all levels, ensure direction is clear and concise

• Work autonomously when required

• Forward plan, schedule daily, weekly and solve adhoc transport issues

• Ability to multi task and adapt in a fast paced environment

• Be a team player, with a positive attitude

Your skills and expertise:

• Strong phone-based customer service skills

• Ability to prioritize and be organised with your work

• Strong computer skills, both with in-house Transport management systems, MS Office, 1-Stop, Container Chain, and other Transport industry related programs

• Prior experience in an administration, coordination or phone-based customer service role within the container transport industry would be advantageous to this position

Key Duties and responsibilities:

• Provide excellence in customer service to all external and internal customers

• Ensure all administration associated with daily transport activity is accurately kept up to date

• Assist coordination of internal drivers and Sub Contractor drivers

Maintaining customer relationships through trust, reliability and exceeding their expectations is vital in this role when time frames may be tight, compliance requirements are high and accurate documentation is crucial.
