Position: Motor Mechanic

Type: Permanent Full-Time (Min 38hrs/week)

Salary: $80,000 per annum plus superannuation

EXTREME TRUCK REPAIR PTY LTD is a growing automotive repair business based in Ravenhall, Victoria. While we specialise mainly in heavy commercial truck repairs, our expanding customer base has led to increased demand for light vehicle servicing and mechanical repairs. We are seeking another qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our professional team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of light motor vehicles while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Australian industry standards.

Task & responsibilities

Main Duties and responsibilities are but not limited to:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in petrol and diesel vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and driveline components.
• Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and scheduled servicing.
• Inspect, dismantle, repair, and reassemble mechanical components using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Conduct engine tuning, fault finding, and vehicle diagnostics using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out roadworthy inspections and test drive vehicles to ensure repairs have been successfully completed.
• Replace worn or damaged parts in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements. 

Qualification & experience

• Min Certificate IV in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or higher relevant qualification.
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant post-qualification work experience.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience using modern automotive diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.
