Task & responsibilities

• Identify and diagnose faults in engines and vehicle components using appropriate diagnostic tools.
• Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other mechanical components for inspection.
• Repair or replace worn, damaged, or defective parts and reassemble mechanical systems in accordance with service specifications.
• Perform routine servicing, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tuning, to ensure optimal vehicle performance and compliance with emission standards.
• Reassemble engines and mechanical parts after repair work is completed.
• Test and adjust repaired components to ensure proper functionality and performance.
• Use computer-based diagnostic equipment to assess and test vehicle systems.
• Inspect vehicles and identify work required to meet roadworthiness standards, where applicable.
• Maintain, test, and repair petrol engines and associated mechanical systems including transmissions, suspension, steering, and braking systems.

Qualification & experience

• 1–3 years of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic.
• Relevant qualification in Automotive Technology or a related field.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
