We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join this busy Toyota dealership based in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.  In this role, you'll carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, ensuring all work meets Toyota standards and delivers exceptional results for our guests.  This is a full-time contract including living and working in the Goldfields DAMA region, with the position in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.

Task & responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosis, repair and maintenance of vehicles taking all necessary steps to diagnose to ensure the correct operation of vehicles sold under dealer warranty including the dismantling and reconstruction or replacement of faulty components.
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently
• Repairing the mechanical parts of the motor vehicle such as the engine, transmission and the suspension systems
• Ordering parts needed as part of warranty service
• Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of all mechanical issues and changes relating to dealer product range
• Test driving and conducting final assessments prior to the delivery or return of vehicles to clients
• Providing a high level of guest service to dealership clients

Qualification & experience

Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience

• Qualifications as an Automotive Technician (light vehicle) (Australia)
• Must possess industry level certification to operate as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic in relevant state, territory or jurisdiction. ( Qualified Automotive Technician (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
• Current driver's licence
• Developed knowledge of the automotive industry with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. 
• Client Service focused and committed to safety standards
• Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task where required. 
• Have experience in repair and maintenance of Toyota vehicles at dealership level, Toyota training highly regarded 
• Have a minimum of 3 years post apprenticeship experience. Technical Aptitude
• Additional qualifications in the Automotive Technician field highly regarded
• Experience providing guidance and training to apprentice technicians

Overtime available and weekend availability may be required.
