GN Autoworks Pty Ltd is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our dynamic team at our Truganina workshop. This is a full-time position ideal for someone who is passionate about vehicle maintenance and repair, has a strong technical background, and is looking to further their career in a supportive and professional environment. As a Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, testing, diagnosing, and repairing petrol engines and a range of mechanical parts in light motor vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

•    Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in engines and vehicle systems.

•    Remove and dismantle engine assemblies, gearboxes, steering units, and other major components for inspection and repair.

•    Identify, repair, and replace damaged or worn parts, referring to service manuals and technical guides as required.

•    Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance (oil changes, lubrication, engine tuning) to enhance performance and meet emission standards.

•    Reassemble and reinstall engines, transmissions, and related parts following repairs.

•    Test, calibrate, and fine-tune mechanical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.

•    Operate computerized diagnostic tools to assess faults and verify completed repairs.

•    Conduct vehicle inspections and, if authorized, issue roadworthiness certifications or provide recommendations for compliance.

•    Respond to vehicle breakdowns and carry out necessary roadside repairs.
