CHBIB TRADING PTY. LTD. Trading as TYRE STATION®, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Motor Mechanic. Your contribution will drive the business’s performance and enhance its overall success. Joining Tyre Station means you will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day mechanical tasks within a busy automotive workshop. You would also diagnose vehicle issues, conduct repairs and maintenance, and ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality service delivery.
 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and check parts.
•    Repair and replace worn and defective parts, reassemble mechanical components, and refer to service manuals as needed.
•    Reassemble engines and parts after being repaired.
•    Perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, to ensure smoother vehicle operation and compliance with pollution regulations.
•    Test and adjust mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance.
•    Diagnose and test parts with the assistance of computers.
•    Identify and diagnose faults in engines, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
•    Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with workplace safety standards.
•    Interacting with customers to explain vehicle issues, repair timelines, and cost estimates clearly and professionally.
•    Respond to roadside service calls and perform mechanical repairs on-site as needed.
•    Conduct vehicle inspections and, if certified, issue roadworthiness certificates or provide detailed reports for required repairs.
•    Keeping accurate records of all work performed, parts used, and services completed for each vehicle.
 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
•    AQF Certificate III or IV (ANZSCO Skill level 3) in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
•    Minimum 2 years full-time experience as a Motor Mechanic
•    Work as part of a team and participate in in-house training as needed.
•    Have an understanding of written and spoken English
•    Ability to work as part of a small team as well as independently
•    Valid Driver's Licence

SALARY
$75,000 to $85,000 per year
 

WORKING HOURS
Full-time position, 38 hours per week.
