As an Automotive Electrician  you will install, diagnose, repair and maintain electrical systems and aftermarket accessories across a range of vehicles. The role involves fitting products such as lighting, cameras, audio systems, alarms and other electronic accessories, while troubleshooting faults and ensuring every installation meets safety and quality standards. You will work independently and collaboratively to deliver reliable workmanship and excellent customer service.

Task & responsibilities

• using test equipment to locate electrical and electronic malfunctions
• dismantling and removing electrical and electronic assemblies and components
• installing electrical equipment and electronic components in motor vehicles
• connecting power-operated vehicle equipment and accessories to power supply
• adjusting engine control systems and timing
• testing and replacing defective alternators, generators, voltage regulators and starter motors
• repairing and replacing faulty ignition and electrical wiring
• replacing defective parts such as fuses, lamps and switches

Qualification & experience

Cert III or IV or 3 years worth of relevant experience.
