Auto Japan is seeking 2 skilled motor mechanics, with experience in working on Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) vehicles to join our team. Responsibilities include regular servicing and maintenance, ensuring of roadworthiness and compliance with ADR (Australian Design Rule) standards, tyre fitting, wheel alignment,  fault diagnosing, repairing, and testing vehicles. Task & Responsibilities

• Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubricants, and engine tune ups, to achieve smooth running of vehicle and ensure compliance with pollution regulations 
• Carrying out safety inspections. Rectify any roadworthy issues, if necessary.
• Inspect vehicles for compliance to ADR (Australian Design Rules) standards, rectify if necessary.
• Detecting and diagnosing faults in all mechanical, cooling, and electrical and electronic systems on vehicles. Use scan tools where necessary 
• Dismantling and removing parts in all the above systems, inspecting / repairing / replacing and re-fitting as may be necessary. Use scan tools to delete fault codes / program systems where necessary 
• Test drive vehicles to ensure safety and performance 
• Fitting and balancing tyres 
• Performing wheel alignment 
• Programming key remotes 
• Liaise with office staff to order parts and supplies, book removal of rubbish / recyclable items as necessary 
• Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment 
• Maintain tools and workshop equipment to ensure proper function and longevity 
• Keep accurate records of work performed 
• Communicate with office staff and management inorder to perform the above tasks.

Qualification & Experience

• Appropriate qualifications 
• Proven 4 years work experience as a Motor Mechanic.
• Strong attention to detail 
• Ability to work independently 
• Excellent problem-solving skills 
• Must have a fair amount of experience working on JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) vehicles 
• Good knowledge and experience on using Launch, GScan and Autel scan tools for diagnostics, and programming all aspects of modern Japanese domestic market vehicle models 
• Experience in programming vehicle key remotes 
• Experience in tyre fitting and balancing using computerised wheel balancing equipment 
• Experience in performing wheel alignment using computerised wheel alignment systems
