Client Delivery Manager 

We are looking for a self-motivated rounded IT professional with prior experience in managing a large account having multiple engagement models, in an outsourced environment in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services & Insurance) domain. 

As a Client Delivery Engagement Manager at HCLTech, you will be responsible for managing and nurturing client relationships within a designated named account. Your role will extend beyond strategic advisory to actively managing Service Delivery, ensuring that all services meet the client’s needs, quality standards, and performance expectations. You will also be accountable for forecasting and planning for future demand resulting from growth and new projects, ensuring capacity is appropriately aligned. Additionally, you will manage the revenue and costs associated with the account, optimizing value delivery within budget constraints. Your contributions will drive client satisfaction and ensure HCLTech’s continued success and growth in the account. 

Job Requirement 

Client Relationship Management: 

• Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders within the client’s organization. 

• Act as the primary point of contact for all client engagements, ensuring clear, consistent communication and alignment with client expectations. 

• Understand the client’s business, goals, and pain points, serving as a trusted advisor and advocate for their needs. 

Delivery Management: 

• Having managed large Development and Production Support teams in an onsite offshore environment involving more than 300+ FTEs 

• Prior experience leading Payments, business banking, corporate functions, AI/ML programs. 

• Prior experience in managing multi-ethnic, multi-geo teams. 

• Good Project & program management experience/knowledge using various project management methodologies like Agile Scrum/Kanban, Waterfall, Iterative etc.  

• Ability to demonstrate through experience the understanding and implementation of the ITIL process, a good understanding of productivity improvement levers to achieve efficiency of operations. 

• Manage overall team’s service quality and lead in any service recovery issues with Clients. 

• Ability to manage the Fixed price outcome-based engagement – should be able to demonstrate how scope, schedule and budget are managed effectively. 

• Demonstrate good technical acumen by having a strong technical background for effective management of the team. 

• Broad BFSI domain knowledge. 

GOOD to HAVE:

• Broad BFSI domain knowledge with in-depth knowledge in any one of the domain areas like Lending, Cash Management, Transaction Banking, Trade Finance etc. 

• Understanding IT outsourcing engagement and commercial models. 

• Prior experience of managing transitions including transition from incumbent vendors 

• Experience of managing/ participating in RFP/Bid process including Due Diligence 

Technical / Professional Skills 

• Strong IT technical experience in any of the prominent technologies in digital, data / analytics etc. 

• Must have AWS cloud technology experience  

Non-Technical / Soft Skills 

• Willingness to learn new technologies and ability to adopt to work in a corporate environment 

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence senior stakeholders within client organizations. 

• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on service delivery excellence and innovative solutions. 

• Demonstrated ability to manage service delivery quality and performance while ensuring capacity and resource planning for future demand. 

• Strong understanding of digital transformation, IT services, and technology trends. 

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams. 

• Experience managing costs, resources, and service delivery to meet client expectations and business goals. 

• Education & Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree engineering, IT, or a related field.  

• Relevant certifications or qualifications in service delivery, account management, client engagement, or project management are a plus.
