We are looking for a skilled and reliable Motor Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they run smoothly and safely. You will work with engines, transmissions, brakes, and other vehicle components, using both manual tools and computer diagnostics to identify and fix problems.

Task & responsibilities

• Find and fix problems in engines and other vehicle parts, including electrical issues.
• Take apart engines, transmissions, steering systems, and other components to check for damage.
• Repair or replace broken and worn-out parts using service manuals if needed.
• Perform routine maintenance like oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups to keep vehicles running smoothly and meet pollution standards.
• Put engines and parts back together after repairs.
• Test and adjust repaired parts to ensure they work properly.
• Use computers to help diagnose and test vehicle issues.
• Inspect vehicles and provide roadworthiness certificates or list needed repairs.
• Answer emergency breakdown service calls when needed. 

Qualification & experience

• Qualifications (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent) are preferred.
• Experience as a motor mechanic or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
• Ability to use mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills for customer interaction.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.
