Task & responsibilities

• Attend to vehicle breakdowns and provide on-site diagnostic and repair support.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance, including oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, ensuring smooth performance and compliance with emission standards.
• Diagnose and identify mechanical and electrical faults in vehicle engines and components using manual and computer-assisted methods.
• Dismantle, remove, and inspect engines, transmissions, steering systems, and related assemblies for faults or wear.
• Repair or replace defective parts, reassemble components, and refer to service manuals for accuracy.
• Test and fine-tune repaired systems to confirm proper operation and performance.
• Rebuild engines and key components following repair or overhaul.
• Inspect vehicles for roadworthiness, issue certificates, or identify necessary repairs.

Qualification & experience

• High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant hands-on experience
• Strong diagnostic and analytical problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s licence required
• In-depth knowledge of automotive systems and components
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to emerging automotive technologies
