Task & responsibilities

  • Advanced Diagnostics & Repairs: Perform diagnostics and repairs using a combination of manufacturer-specific and independent diagnostic tools. Accurately identify and resolve issues across engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and vehicle electronics.
  • Routine Maintenance: Conduct scheduled services to meet or exceed manufacturer standards, including engine oil and filter changes, brake system inspections and fluid flush, air filters and transmission filters and fluid services.
  • Technical Documentation: Use internal systems to look up and apply correct repair times, technical service bulletins, and repair procedures to ensure accurate quoting and high-quality repairs.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to explain technical issues and the services performed, fostering trust and satisfaction.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills and certifications.
  • Vehicle Health Reporting: Complete a full vehicle health check (EVHC) for every vehicle. Document the current condition of all systems and identify any additional repairs required, ensuring transparent communication with clients and supporting initiative-taking maintenance.
  • Team Collaboration and Knowledge Building: Work closely with the workshop team to create, refine, and improve reporting systems, technical procedures, and best practices. Help train and mentor other team members by sharing your diagnostic skills and technical knowledge, contributing to the growth of our collective capabilities.
  • Startup Environment Contribution: Support the development of Cavalo’s internal systems, processes, and workshop operations. As a growing business, there is an expectation for all team members to contribute ideas, assist with setup tasks, and help us build a service department that sets a new standard for independent prestige servicing.
  • Interaction: Clearly communicate diagnostic findings and repair recommendations to service advisors or customers where needed, helping to build trust and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Continuous Development: Stay up to date with the latest diagnostic techniques, automotive technologies, and repair procedures. Participate in internal and external training to enhance your skills and certifications as our service department evolves.

Qualification & experience

  • Educational Background: Completion of a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with luxury or high-performance vehicles, demonstrating a deep understanding of their unique systems and requirements.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using specialized diagnostic equipment and software specific to luxury automotive brands.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to diagnostics and repairs, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
