SERVICE CENTRAL AUTO PTY LTD(ABN 57 165 657 625) trading as Service Central Auto is looking for a full-time motor mechanic working in Botany. The annual wage will be between 77,000 to 90,000 PA plus super for the right skilled candidate.
As Service Central Autos motor mechanic, you will be responsible and required to maintain, test and repair different petrol and diesel engines. You will need to be experienced in replacing, fixing and diagnosing issues with the mechanical parts of commercial vehicles such as transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes.

As Service Central Autos motor mechanic, you will be responsible and required to maintain, test and repair different petrol and diesel engines. You will need to be experienced in replacing, fixing and diagnosing issues with the mechanical parts of commercial vehicles such as transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes.
This is a hand-on position. To be successful in this role you will:
- Commercial and fleet scheduled repairs.
- Providing operational support to Director.
- Liaise with external suppliers to organise parts and materials required for mechanic jobs.
- Provide detailed job sheets for a repair or maintenance job.
- Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts.
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components, and checking parts.
- Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components and referring to service manuals as needed.
- Performing scheduled maintenance services.
- Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired.
- Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance.
- Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of scan tools.
- May inspect vehicles and detail work required to achieve roadworthiness.
- May respond to vehicle breakdown service calls.
Qualification & Experience
Requirements:
- Hold at least an AQF Certificate III or higher qualification with 2 years’ experience post qualification or at least 3 years relevant experience will be mandatory
