This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanic to work in a supportive and well-equipped environment. The role involves performing repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics on heavy vehicles to ensure safety, performance, and compliance with industry standards.

Task & responsibilities

Identify and diagnose mechanical faults in diesel engines and related components.
Dismantle, repair, and reassemble engines, transmissions, steering systems, and other mechanical assemblies following manufacturer specifications.
Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups to enhance vehicle efficiency and meet emission standards.
Replace worn or defective parts using proper tools and service manuals.
Test and adjust mechanical systems post-repair to ensure optimal functionality.
Use computer-assisted diagnostic equipment to assess and troubleshoot faults.
Perform vehicle inspections and, where required, issue or recommend steps for roadworthiness certification.
Maintain and repair essential systems such as suspension, braking, and steering in diesel-powered heavy vehicles.

Qualification & experience

1–3 years of hands-on experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role.
Qualification in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
