Salary: $80,000 - 90,000 per annum

We are seeking a skilled Motor Mechanic (General) to join our growing team. The full-time position is based at our modern workshop in Finley and presents an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional committed to excellence in vehicle maintenance and repair.

The Motor Mechanic (General) is primarily responsible for the repair, maintenance, and testing of lightweight motor vehicles and internal combustion engines and related mechanical components. This role involves diagnosing faults, performing scheduled maintenance, and ensuring all work meets safety and regulatory standards.

Task & responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Dismantle, repair, and reassemble engine assemblies, transmission systems, and steering mechanisms.
• Perform scheduled servicing, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tuning.
• Rebuild engines and components, followed by operational testing and calibration.
• Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to assess roadworthiness and perform necessary adjustments.
• Respond promptly to emergency roadside assistance requests.

Qualification & experience

• Trade qualification in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles.
• Proficiency in diagnostic software and familiarity with petrol/diesel engines.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to manage varied tasks efficiently.
