The Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated Plant Operator to join our Operations Team in Kununurra. The role will also assist other Operational team members as required in Wyndham and landfills from time to time upon request by line management.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working as a team member undertaking duties relating to maintenance and construction projects
- Operating plant and equipment, ensuring that all equipment is well maintained and faults are reported immediately
- Maintaining plant and equipment log books and completing end of day checks so equipment is work-ready for the next day
- Ensuring that tools, machinery, equipment and workshop is maintained to a high standard
- Attending and participating in team meetings, tool box meetings, inductions and other required training
- Following organisational specific procedures and processes at all times
- Actively contribute to team planning and be committed to strong work productivity and high-quality outputs
- Utilising initiative to solve routine problems and determine ways to improve efficiency and performance
- Ensure daily pre-operational checks and prescribed plant/machinery maintenance are carried out fully and all faults or defects are reported
- Maximising the efficiency of the plant and machinery on all tasks
- Interpreting plans and drawings of road and drainage maintenance and construction
