Due to increase in demand, business is expanding, thus require team to perform duties of motor mechanic. Business is looking for a qualified and motivated Motor Mechanic to continue providing service to local community.
About the Role
Motor Mechanic at ‘Fateh Mechanical Works" is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of vehicles, including cars, Suv’s, light trucks, and light vehicles. You’ll use your technical expertise to identify issues, perform maintenance, and ensure all work meets our high standards of quality and safety. Task & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, test, and repair petrol engines and vehicle mechanical systems (transmission, suspension, steering, brakes).
- Follow safety and workshop procedures, including correct lifting, handling of hazardous materials, and equipment inspection.
- Comply with environmental regulations for storing and disposing of lubricants and fluids.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using manual and computerized diagnostic tools.
- Repair or replace faulty parts, perform scheduled and logbook services, and ensure vehicle performance meets manufacturer standards.
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet workshop targets.
- Deliver excellent customer service when required.
Key duties included but were not limited to:
- Diagnose faults in engines and vehicle systems.
- Disassemble and inspect components for defects.
- Replace or repair worn parts using service manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, tune-ups, lubrication).
- Reassemble and test repaired components for proper function.
- Use diagnostic tools and software for testing.
- Inspect vehicles for roadworthiness and recommend necessary repair.
Qualification & experience
Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Minimum Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or higher
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as a Motor Mechanic in a professional workshop environment.
- Skilled PR/Citizen will be preferred
Desirable Skills:
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Familiarity with modern vehicle systems and diagnostic equipment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Customer-focused attitude.
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining high standards.
