Flowcrete Group Pty Ltd is a leading Australian manufacturer and supplier of truck-mounted, line and trailer concrete pumps servicing the concrete pumping industry throughout Australia and New Zealand. With multiple branches across Australasia, we continue to expand our operations and are seeking a qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel & Concrete Pump Mechanic to join our Wingfield, South Australia workshop.

About the Role

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining heavy diesel vehicles, truck-mounted and trailer concrete pumps, hydraulic systems and associated equipment. The role involves both workshop and field service work to ensure equipment is maintained in a safe, reliable and operational condition.

Key Responsibilities

· Diagnose and rectify mechanical, diesel engine, hydraulic and electrical faults using specialised diagnostic equipment.

· Service, repair and maintain heavy diesel vehicles, truck-mounted concrete pumps, trailer pumps, PTO systems and associated equipment.

· Remove, inspect, repair and reinstall engines, transmissions, hydraulic pumps, cylinders and other mechanical components.

· Replace worn or defective mechanical, hydraulic and electrical parts in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

· Perform scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and equipment inspections to maximise reliability and minimise downtime.

· Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams and hydraulic schematics when carrying out repairs.

· Test equipment following repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation.

· Respond to workshop and field breakdowns and complete maintenance records in accordance with company procedures.

· Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment while complying with Workplace Health and Safety requirements.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

· Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Automotive Diesel Engine Technology or an equivalent trade qualification. Applicants without formal qualifications must demonstrate at least three (3) years of relevant full-time work experience.

· Demonstrated experience servicing heavy diesel engines, hydraulic systems, PTO equipment and heavy vehicle electrical systems.

· Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with the ability to interpret technical manuals and drawings.

· Experience performing preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Desirable

· White Card (or ability to obtain).

· Current Driver Licence (or ability to obtain).

· Ability to undertake field service work when required.
