Jax Tyres & Auto Dayton is seeking an experienced and reliable Motor Mechanic to join our growing team. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of vehicles, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and computer systems
• Dismantle and inspect engines, transmissions, steering systems, and other components
• Repair or replace defective parts and reassemble mechanical components
• Perform routine servicing including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups
• Test and adjust systems to ensure proper performance
• Assist with vehicle inspections and roadworthiness assessments
• Respond to breakdowns when required
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Motor Mechanic
• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Valid driver licence
