As our business grows, we're on the lookout for a full time Carpenter. The role will contribute to construction projects and will directly support our efforts to deliver innovative and beautiful housing solutions that are also kind to the planet.

Key Responsibilities:

-          Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials.

-          Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to ensure specifications are met.

-          Measure and cut materials to the required dimensions.

-          Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.

-          Inspect and replace damaged frameworks or other structures and fixtures.

-          Instruct and direct labourers and other construction helpers.

-          Ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard of quality.

-          Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

-          Collaborate effectively with other team members and tradespeople on-site.

-          Engage in continuous improvement practices to enhance skills and work methods.

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

-          At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.

-          Proficient in carpentry techniques and willingness to adapt to sustainable building methods.

-          Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

-          Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

-          A passion for environmentally sustainable construction practices.

-          Relevant carpentry certifications or equivalent experience.
