The opportunity

KPL Building & Remedial Works Pty Ltd, a leading construction company in Sydney, is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join their dynamic team. As a Carpenter, you will play a vital role in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial properties across the Sydney CBD, Inner West and Eastern Suburbs.

Key responsibilities

1. Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including framing, finish carpentry, installation of doors, windows, cabinets, and other woodwork

2. Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical specifications to ensure projects are completed accurately and to the required standards

3. Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure seamless project delivery

4. Maintain a high level of quality and safety in all work performed

5. Assist with the supervision and training of apprentice carpenters and labourers

6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of work processes and practices

What we're looking for

1. Formal qualification in Carpentry (e.g. Certificate III in Carpentry)

2. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Carpenter, preferably in the residential or commercial construction industry

3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical specifications

4. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

5. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality work

6. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and mentor junior team members

7. Current driver's licence and reliable transportation

8. Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
