Task & responsibilities

The Role:

• Full diagnosis and hands-on repair of light vehicles including engine, transmission and steering component removal and rebuild automative systems (engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, brakes, A/C, etc.)
• Rebuild repaired assemblies and carry out performance checks to confirm correct operation
• Services, test drives, final inspections and quality checks
• Use workshop diagnostic technology to identify and test mechanical and electronic faults
• Accurate job documentation
• Work closely with the Store Manager
• Provide expert mechanical advice and support to the team
• Knowledge of WHS regulations, maintain workshop cleanliness, care for tools/equipment and commitment to safety
• Assist with general workshop duties as required

Qualification & experience

About You:

• Cert III (or higher) Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
• Full Australian driver’s licence
• Solid workshop and diagnostic experience
• High standard of workmanship and attention to detail
• Pride in your work
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, punctual and team-oriented
• Available to work Monday to Friday + alternate Saturday mornings (8:00am - 12:00pm) on a shared roster
