About the role
Kitchen Envy is seeking a skilled and experienced Cabinetmaker & Joinery/Kitchens Installer to join our team in Parramatta and the Western Suburbs of Sydney. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work on high-quality joinery and cabinet making projects across residential properties. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, fitting, and finishing of bespoke cabinetry and joinery solutions, ensuring every project meets our exacting standards and exceeds client expectations. Your expertise will be fundamental to delivering the superior craftsmanship that Kitchen Envy is known for throughout the Sydney region.
Key responsibilities
1. Install, fit and finish high-quality cabinetry, custom joinery and kitchen installations on residential projects.
2. Read and interpret detailed technical drawings, specifications and design plans to ensure accurate installation
3. Hang and align cabinet units, ensuring they are level, plumb and securely fastened
4. Install fixtures, handles and finishing components (kickfaces, shadow lines & bulkheads) with attention to detail
5. Conduct quality checks throughout installation to ensure compliance with design specifications
6. Maintain a safe and tidy work environment
7. Communicate effectively with project managers, clients and team members to ensure project timelines and expectations are met
8. Perform minor repairs and adjustments to existing cabinetry and joinery as required
What we're looking for
1. Proven experience as a cabinetmaker, joinery installer or kitchen fitter with a minimum of 3–5 years in the trade
2. Strong technical knowledge of cabinet making joinery techniques and installation methods
3. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
4. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, including saws, planers and drills
5. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
7. Valid driver's licence
8. Current and relevant qualifications in cabinet making or joinery (or equivalent trade experience)
9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to site-specific challenges
10. Excellent communication and customer service skills
