Cabinet Maker

GEM Resourcing is recruiting for a Trade Qualified Cabinet Maker based in Perth. This is a long-term opportunity to join a reputable commercial shopfitting company specialising in custom joinery for high-end retail, hospitality, offices, and commercial projects. 

About the role:

We are looking for a skilled Cabinet Maker who can confidently work from drawings through to finished product. You will be involved in manufacturing and assembling custom joinery, preparing materials, operating machinery and tools, and installing completed products on commercial fit-out sites.
The ideal candidate will take pride in their workmanship, have strong attention to detail, and enjoy working within a supportive and quality-focused team environment.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Manufacture and assemble cabinetry, counters, and custom joinery to a high standard
• Read and interpret workshop drawings, cutting lists, and plans
• Operate woodworking machines (panel saws, edge banders, CNC machinery, drills, hand tools)
• Measure, cut, edge, drill, laminate, and finish materials to specification
• Carry out onsite installations and ensure workmanship meets quality and safety standards
• Prioritise and manage workload to meet project timelines
• Work independently and as part of a team

To be considered for this position, you must be able to provide the following:

• Trade qualification in Cabinet Making / Joinery (Cert III or equivalent) – highly regarded
• Previous experience in commercial or custom cabinetry 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings
• Reliable transport and full Australian working rights
• Must be based in Perth, WA
