Full‑Time Motor Mechanic (General) - Arndell Park, NSW 

Watch Investments Pty Ltd in Arndell Parks NSW is seeking a full time Motor Mechanic (General). The successful candidate will inspect, diagnose, and repair faults in cars and light vehicles; perform scheduled services and part replacements; handle tyre and brake services; use diagnostic tools; conduct safety checks and test drives; maintain detailed service records; deliver quality customer service; and follow all WHS protocols. The successful candidate will be paid Salary of $78,000 + super for this full-time position.

You will be responsible for the following responsibilities and tasks.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical faults in cars and light vehicles.
  • Perform scheduled servicing and logbook maintenance in compliance with manufacturer requirements.
  • Replace worn or defective parts including brakes, suspension components, and powertrain parts.
  • Conduct tyre services — including tyre fitting, tyre changing, wheel balancing and alignment.
  • Carry out brake servicing and adjustments as required.
  • Use electronic diagnostic tools and technical manuals to analyse modern vehicle systems.
  • Conduct safety inspections, test drives after repairs, and prepare vehicles for customer return.
  • Maintain accurate workshop records including service history, repair details, and parts used.
  • Provide high‑quality customer service to external clients, explaining vehicle issues and recommended work.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Australian earned or equivalent (recognised by Trades Recognition Australia)

Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

 Experience Requirement:

  • Minimum 1 years full‑time post‑qualification experience a

Essential Skills and Requirements:

  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in a range of light vehicles.
  • Skilled in performing routine servicing, maintenance and safety inspections in line with manufacturer specifications.
  • Experience in brake and suspension repairs, powertrain servicing, and part replacements.
  • Competence in tyre services including tyre fitting, balancing, and wheel alignment.
  • Proficient in using modern diagnostic tools and scan equipmentfor fault analysis and system testing.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and service bulletins.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in completing workshop reports and service records.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues and recommended repairs to clients.
  • Understanding of and commitment to Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards and workshop protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy automotive environment.

Licencing:

  • Valid Motor Vehicle Tradesperson’s certificate issued by NSW Fair Trading
  • Valid Australian driver licence (or ability to obtain one in NSW).
