We are seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure they run safely and efficiently. You’ll work with both modern and older models, using the latest diagnostic tools and equipment.

Task & Responsibilities

Use computerized diagnostic equipment to evaluate the condition and performance of vehicle systems
Disassemble transmissions, engine systems, steering components, and other assemblies to assess wear or damage
Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, engine tune-ups, and lubrication to ensure optimal performance and compliance with emissions standards
Attend to roadside breakdowns when required, providing on-the-spot diagnostics and minor repairs
Test and adjust mechanical parts after repairs to ensure systems are operating correctly
Reassemble engines and mechanical components following repairs, ensuring all systems are properly aligned and functioning
Inspect vehicles to determine roadworthiness and, if authorized, issue roadworthy certificates or recommend required repairs
Diagnose and locate mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle systems using both manual and electronic diagnostic methods
Repair or replace worn or faulty components by referencing technical manuals and vehicle specifications

Qualification & Experience

Relevant qualification and one year of experience as a motor mechanic
Strong understanding of mechanical and electronic vehicle systems.
Ability to use diagnostic and repair tools and software.
