Marque Restoration is seeking skilled Body Builders for fabricating of body frames and manufacturing panels in aluminium and steel for vintage and classic motor cars. This includes repairs and restoration specifically for vintage and classic vehicles.

This position is for an experienced person who has been involved with the repair, building and manufacturing of classic car bodies in both steel and aluminium.

Body Builder Requirements:

Experience: Previous experience as an automotive body builder is essential with the ability to MIG, TIG, or OXY weld on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Passion: A genuine love for classic cars, their restoration.
Attention to Detail: Precision, care and pride in your work.
Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Benefits

Workers Entitlements in South Australia:

Full Time Hours: 38 hour week
Fortnightly Pay: between $37 and $50 dollars per hour depending on experience and ability.
Paid Annual Leave: Full-time employees are entitled to 4 weeks of paid annual leave per year with leave loading of an extra 17.5% on holiday pay.
Sick Leave: 10 days sick leave per annum.
Long Service Leave: After 10 years of continuous service, employees are entitled to 13 weeks of paid long service leave.
Public Holidays: 9-13 days public holidays per year.
Superannuation: Employers make superannuation contributions to employees of 11.5% of wages.

Task & Responsibilities

The restoration of vehicles from 1903 to 1980 is the area we usually confine our work. This includes removal and replacement of rusted and damaged panels and frames.

At times we make new panels in house when after-market parts are not available.

We also make complete bodies for one off cars to the client's requirements. Panel fabrication in aluminium and steel a definite advantage.

Qualification & Experience

The successful applicant will have the ability to work to a very high standard in fabrication and repair of bodywork and to be proud of their work.

Marque Restoration has a history of restoring a great range of cars to award winning standards. We have a clientele stretching back over many years that we have restored cars for. Those clients keep returning with new projects and we service and care for the jobs we have done for them in the past.

We have history of finishing jobs.

Over the last 46 years we have fully restored over 300 vintage and classic cars at our workshop. At present we have 16 projects underway, the work we cover is: fabrication, body and paintwork, electrical and mechanical with a motor trimmer in house. Some projects being minor repairs and paint, and others from concept drawings to complete drive able cars. We have carried out thousands of repairs and part restoration to an amazing range of makes and models.
