Haberfield Discount Tyres is seeking a skilled and reliable Motor Mechanic to join our busy workshop in Gordon, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal safety and performance for our valued customers. Task & responsibilities

• Examine vehicles to assess the condition of systems and components, identifying any issues requiring attention.
• Use specialized diagnostic tools and equipment to determine the source of malfunctions in engines, transmissions, brakes, and other vehicle systems.
• Repair or replace faulty components, such as worn brake pads, damaged belts, or malfunctioning electrical parts, ensuring vehicles are restored to full performance and safety.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil and filter changes, tire pressure checks, and battery testing to extend vehicle lifespan.
• Test vehicles after repairs to confirm all issues have been resolved and systems are functioning smoothly.
• Maintain and care for hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment, ensuring they remain in safe and serviceable condition.

Qualification & experience

• Relevant qualification in Automotive Mechanics (preferably at least Diploma level).
• Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience
