Boilermaker

Bundaberg Region | Greensill Farming

Want more variety than a typical workshop job? Put your skills to work across heavy equipment, agricultural machinery and real projects that keep a large local operation moving.

About Us

Greensill Farming is a family-owned agribusiness with more than 80 years of history in the Bundaberg region.

Our operations span sugarcane and sweet potato production, composting, farm development and earthmoving. Behind all of this is a team of skilled people who keep our machinery, equipment and operations moving.

We’re committed to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement, while investing in the people and equipment that support our business.

About the Role

We’re looking for a qualified Boilermaker to join our Greensill Fabrication & Machinery Team.

Reporting to the Head of Facilities & Maintenance, you’ll work across a diverse range of agricultural and earthmoving equipment, carrying out fabrication, repairs, modifications, maintenance and installation work.

This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety. You could be fabricating a new component one day, repairing heavy equipment the next, or working on modifications that improve the way our machinery operates.

Your work will include:

• Fabrication, welding and repairs on heavy equipment and machinery

• Manufacturing and modifying components

• Structural and general fabrication work

• Repairs and maintenance across agricultural and earthmoving equipment

• Installation and modification of plant and equipment

• Working with the broader Workshop and Maintenance teams to keep equipment operating safely and reliably

• Supporting breakdowns and urgent repairs when required

About You

You’ll bring:

• A recognised Boilermaker trade qualification

• Strong welding and fabrication skills

• Experience working with heavy equipment, agricultural machinery or earthmoving equipment is desirable

• Mechanical or fitting experience will be highly regarded

• Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A practical, can-do approach to problem solving

• A strong commitment to safety and quality

Why Join Greensill Farming?

• Local, stable employment with a family-owned business operating in the region for more than 80 years

• Varied work across agricultural, earthmoving and heavy equipment

• Work alongside an experienced and supportive Workshop team

• Opportunity to use your trade skills across projects you simply won't see in a standard fabrication shop

• Home every night - no FIFO or remote work

• Be part of a business investing in its people, equipment and future

If you’re a skilled Boilermaker who enjoys variety, working with heavy equipment and seeing the results of your work, we’d love to hear from you.
