BOILERMAKERS AND WELDERS - WORKSHOP THE COMPANYA long serving and reputable Illawarra based Engineering company specialising in steel fabrication and shutdown manintenance projects for Bluecope, local Mines and infrastructure providers is seeking qualified Boilermakers and competent MIG and Stick Welders to assist with a large workload forecast to run well beyond the New Year, with Saturdays on offer along with some after hours Overtime THE ROLEAs a qualified Boilermaker or competent Welder with experience in structural steel fabrication, you will be working on various tasks for varying Bluescope projects including the number 6 blast furnaceThis will involve the fabricating and assembling of structural steel components to specification, ensuring all projects meet their high standards of quality, and according to deadlines and safety protocolsThe ideal candidate will be highly motivated, willing to work overtime and will thrive in a traditional workshop environment GENERAL DAILY DUTIES Fabricate and assemble structural steel components based on technical drawings and project specifications Measure, cut, and shape steel components to precise specifications Conduct thorough inspections of materials and completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations Maintain and operate workshop tools and equipment in a skilled, safe and efficient manner Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely project delivery Uphold workshop safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment at all times Be committed to working in a team and with minimal supervision SELECTION CRITERIA Trade Qualification in Engineering or Related Mechanical field Minimum 5 years post qualification experience Ability to read and interpret plans and blueprints with comprehensive diagnostic skills & mechanical troubleshooting expertise Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues Ability to follow instructions and accurately and safely complete tasks assigned Competent use of hand tools, hot torchers, equipment and machines to cut, shape, bend, join, grind etc of metals Competent Welding skills Good communication skills, both written & verbal Can understand and work to all OHS & safety requirements Full Australian working rights Full PPE including own welding helmet A recent employer references TO APPLY Please click APPLY to be consideredPlease note, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted ThanksBen, Labour Connect

STAINLESS STEEL WORKSHOP FABRICATION POSITIONS  SGM FABRICATION AND CONSTRUCTION, a subsidiary of Dominion Global, are seeking to employ permanent and casual Boilermakers for our modern workshop facility in Tomago starting immediately.  Overtime and shutdown work available around Australia throughout the year, or shop work only at our Tomago facility if preferred.  SGM’s casual payrate starting from $55.58 through to $61.14 pending on experience and qualifications, with other benefits including an early finish on Fridays and a 9 day fortnight.  Our company offers a complementary range of services to deliver a wide cross-section of infrastructure works, with proven capabilities in fabricated aluminium, carbon steel and stainless-steel structures all in a modern workshop.
