Key Duties and Responsibilities: Consulting with clients to assess their hair care needs, preferences, and suitability of different styles Confident consultation skills required to effectively assess client needs and provide professional hair styling recommendations Cutting, trimming, colouring, straightening, curling, and styling hair using professional techniques Shampooing, conditioning, treating and caring for hair and scalp health Applying bleaching, tinting, dyeing, perming, and treatment products as required Experience required in all hair colouring techniques including basic colour application, bleaching techniques, foiling/highlights, balayage/ombre, and colour correction Blow-drying, setting, and finishing hair using styling tools and equipment Creating and recommending hair styling options for special events and occasions Maintaining a clean, organised workstation and ensuring salon hygiene standards are followed Providing advice on hair care products, maintenance routines, and aftercare treatment Booking appointments, managing client enquiries, and ensuring repeat business through quality service May supervise, mentor and train junior stylists or apprentices Minimum Certificate III in Hairdressing qualification required Minimum 3-5 years of professional hairdressing experience required Australian work rights required for this position Keeping up to date with industry trends and new hair styling techniques Maintaining stock levels, salon equipment and reporting maintenance needs Promoting salon services, treatments, and retail products Supporting salon growth through high-quality service delivery and positive client relationships
