About the role

Cranky Cafe' in Merimbula, NSW is seeking a skilled Pastry Cook / Baker to join our team. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for creating a range of delicious baked goods to delight our customers.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing and baking a variety of pastries, breads, cakes and other baked items to our high standards

2. Ensuring all products are made with the freshest, highest quality ingredients

3. Maintaining a clean and organised work environment

4. Collaborating with the kitchen team to continuously improve our baked offerings

5. Assisting with inventory management and ordering of baking supplies

What we're looking for

1. 1-2 years' experience as a pastry cook or baker in a commercial kitchen environment

2. Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food safety and ingredient handling

3. Ability to work well in a team and take direction from the Head Chef

4. Good time management and problem-solving skills

5. A passion for creating high-quality baked goods
