We live and love sourdough! If you do too then you are in the right place... 

We are a small artisan sourdough bakery located in Bangalow with a passion for creating amazing baked goods, all from scratch. We have a small team of professionals who are devoted to very high standard of quality. No wholesale baking, we focus on our locals and aim to make the highest quality products each day.

You will have room to grow and work independently, this is a huge opportunity to advance your skills and work closely with a devoted team to grow the business. Must be a team player and work with the team, 4 day a week- hours will consist of 2 x 5am starts and 2 x 2am starts. We make all our own pies, breads, laminated pastries and cakes all on site, plenty of room to grow and expand your experience. We do not do any wholesale, we only bake for our retail store.

what we are looking for

• experience working in a commercial kitchen, with commercial equipment

• a genuine passion for sourdough bread, pastries and cake

• experience in creating artisan breads- mixing, moulding and baking

• experience in pastry- laminating, proofing, baking

• strong attention to detail, efficiency, and a proactive work ethic

• a team player who’s comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• flexible thinker who enjoys a fast paced environment

What you will be doing

• create a range of products that need to be consistent on a daily basis such as cakes, slices, pastries, cookies

• baking the daily production of sourdough bread

• baking of pastries, pies, quiche, and decorating of other bakery items

• scaling and mixing of doughs, hand shaping of doughs

• uphold food safety and sanitation standards
