Head Pastry Chef – Menu Development + Lamination + Team Leadership Dodough Pastry is looking for an experienced and creative Head Pastry Chef to join our small, quality-focused team in East Perth.This is a rare opportunity to lead a boutique bakery that values creativity, consistency and a sustainable workload. ✨ Why this role is different This is not a high-volume, overtime-heavy bakery.Our workload is steady, structured and manageable, allowing you to focus on: quality and product consistency creative menu development leading and mentoring the pastry team communicating effectively with our café & catering teams building the next stage of our brand We want someone who enjoys craftsmanship and leadership — not burnout. 🥐 About the Role Your responsibilities will be balanced across: • Menu Development (20%) Seasonal menu planning and R&D Creating new pastries aligned with the Dodough brand Testing, tastings and refinement • Production & Lamination (50%) Leading daily production Strong croissant and lamination experience essential Managing workflow, prep, scaling, baking and QC Maintaining product consistency and efficiency • Team Leadership & Cross-team Communication (30%) Guiding and supporting the pastry team Supporting ongoing chef development and maintaining team standards Maintaining kitchen systems, standards and culture Working closely with the Owner on planning and improvements Clear and reliable communication with our café teams & catering team(for daily coordination, catering production, timing, and quality control) 👩🍳 Who We’re Looking For Someone with: 3–7 years experience in high-end boutique bakeries Strong dough & lamination skills Experience leading or supervising a pastry team Calm, organised and positive communication style Ability to collaborate well with multiple teams (pastry, café, catering) Passion for creativity and flavour development Consistency, ownership and a strong eye for detail If you’ve worked in high-volume environments and want a more balanced, creative and sustainable role — this could be the perfect fit. 🕒 Work Conditions Full-time role Day shifts only Predictable hours and structured production No overtime-heavy schedule Warm, supportive small team environment 📩 How to Apply Please send your CV (and portfolio, if available) through SEEK or to:[email address] We look forward to meeting someone who wants to grow with us and help shape the next stage of Dodough Pastry.
