About the role
Are you passionate about creating delectable desserts and bringing joy to customers? The Cheesecake Shop Welland is seeking an exceptional Baker/Cook to join our team in Welland Plaza Shopping Centre, 522 Port Rd, Welland SA 5007. With almost every product baked in store this is a critical role within the business. In this role, you will showcase your attention to detail, ability to follow strict recipes and efficient kitchen skills to produce our signature cakes, cheesecakes and other sweet treats, ensuring they taste as good as they look.

What you'll be doing

• Following strict recipes to create baked sponges, mud cakes, baked cheesecakes and other dessert items.

• Keeping your workspace/kitchen clean and tidy as you go.

• Always adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.

• Some decorating of cakes and desserts as required.

• Support the team in executing promotional activities and special events.

• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

• Ensuring all cakes and desserts are presented to the highest standard. 

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in cake baking or a similar cook role within the retail or hospitality industry.

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow strict recipes.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a high paced team environment.

• A good eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

• A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude.

• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work a casual schedule initially.
