Bajwa Services Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Motor Mechanic to join our team in Jacobs Well, Gold Coast. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and mechanical components of heavy vehicles, trucks, and machinery. Key duties include dismantling and reassembling engines and transmissions, performing scheduled maintenance, identifying and rectifying faults using diagnostic equipment, and ensuring all work complies with safety and environmental standards. The ideal applicant will hold a relevant trade qualification, possess strong technical skills, and demonstrate a commitment to highquality workmanship in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Task & responsibilities

• Detect and diagnose mechanical and engine faults using both manual and diagnostic tools
• Dismantle engines, gearboxes, steering systems, transmissions, and related mechanical parts for  inspection 
• Repair or replace worn, damaged, or defective parts using tools and technical manuals
• Reassemble engines and mechanical components after repairs, testing performance for compliance and  reliability
• Perform routine servicing and maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements,  engine tuning, and system lubrication
• Conduct emission and pollution control checks to ensure  compliance with environmental standards
• Maintain accurate service records, reports, and repair logs in line with company policies and  regulatory requirements 
• Follow all workplace health and safety (WHS) protocols and ensure a clean,  organised workspace
• Inspect vehicles and provide computerised assessments or detail necessary repairs where applicable

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology
• Proven experience as a Diesel Motor Mechanic
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license
