We are looking for a qualified Motor Mechanic with 2–3 years of relevant experience to maintain and service our fleet of light and heavy vehicles. You will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest operational and safety standards.

Task & responsibilities

• Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle components.
• Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other parts for inspection and repair.
• Repair and replace worn or defective components, referring to service manuals as required.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance including oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups to optimise vehicle performance and meet environmental standards.
• Reassemble engines and components after repair and conduct performance testing and adjustments.
• Use diagnostic tools and computer systems to identify and troubleshoot faults.
• Inspect vehicles and, where authorised, issue roadworthiness certificates or outline required work to achieve roadworthiness.
• Respond to vehicle breakdowns and provide on-site mechanical support as needed.
• Maintain, test, and repair petrol engines and other mechanical systems including suspension, steering, brakes, and transmissions.

Qualification & experience

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience as a qualified motor mechanic.
• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A current driver’s licence and relevant trade registration/licensing (where applicable).
