Not Just a Job. A Career Path.

If you're serious about building a long-term career in the electrotechnology industry — not just getting a job — this opportunity is for you.

Electro Careers & Apprenticeships is recruiting motivated individuals to commence:

  • Electrical Apprenticeships

  • Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Apprenticeships

  • Data & Communications Apprenticeships

We also encourage out-of-contract apprentices (all year levels) to apply.

This is your opportunity to earn while you learn, work alongside experienced tradespeople, and gain a nationally recognised qualification in a growing and future-focused industry.

Who Thrives in This Industry

We are looking for applicants who:

  • Show up on time and take responsibility

  • Take pride in doing things properly

  • Are willing to start early and work in hands-on environments

  • Back themselves to commit to a 4-year apprenticeship

  • Want to build real skills and long-term career opportunities

Apprenticeships involve early starts, problem solving, practical work, and balancing on-the-job learning with formal training. It requires commitment and resilience — but the long-term career rewards are significant.

This industry rewards attitude, reliability, and effort.

Why Choose Electro CA?

  • Structured mentoring and ongoing Field Officer support

  • Exposure to a variety of host employers across multiple sectors

  • Clear career pathways beyond your apprenticeship

  • Backed by NECA SA/NT and strongly connected to industry

  • A supportive team that encourages growth and accountability

We don’t just place apprentices — we develop future tradespeople.

🌟 Fast-Track Consideration

High-performing applicants may be considered for early interview and host employer placement opportunities.

To be eligible for Fast-Track consideration, applicants should demonstrate:

  • Completion (or near completion) of a Certificate II in Electrotechnology

  • Industry exposure (work experience, labouring, trade assistant roles)

  • Strong attendance and reliability history

  • A clear commitment to completing a 4-year apprenticeship

If you believe you meet the above, outline this clearly in your application.

To Be Competitive for Shortlisting, You Will Ideally Have:

  • Certificate II in Electrotechnology (or currently completing)

  • Relevant industry exposure or work experience

  • Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card)

  • Current driver’s licence and reliable transport

Applicants without these may still apply, however candidates who demonstrate initiative (obtaining licences early, completing pre-apprenticeship training, gaining relevant work experience) will be prioritised.

Application Process

Important: All applications to be completed through https://electroca.com.au/job-seekers/apply-now/

Please note that you are only required to apply through the above link and not on Seek.

Applications are assessed on a rolling basis.

To assist with shortlisting, please include a brief paragraph in your application outlining:

  1. Why you want to pursue a career in the electrotechnology industry

  2. An example of when you demonstrated reliability, initiative, or commitment

Please include the words “Ready to Step Up” at the end of your paragraph to confirm you have read the full advertisement.

Applications that do not address the above may not be progressed.
