We are seeking a trade-qualified motor mechanic (general) for a full-time, permanent role. The position involves diagnosing, servicing, and repairing light vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Key responsibilities include mechanical and electrical diagnostics, routine servicing, and repairs to engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and steering systems using modern diagnostic tools. The role also requires maintaining accurate service records, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering high-quality workmanship while working effectively within a team and communicating with clients.

Annual Salary (excl. superannuation) Plus 11.5% superannuation Above award rate

Task & responsibilities

* Diagnose, service and repair light vehicles including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension and

steering systems

* Conduct scheduled logbook services and pre-purchase vehicle inspections across all major brands

* Perform automotive electrical diagnosis and fault rectification

* Use computerised diagnostic equipment and manufacturer scan tools

* Identify, source and fit parts and components as required

* Maintain accurate job records and communicate effectively with service advisors and clients

* Ensure all work meets relevant safety standards and manufacturer specifications

* Contribute positively to a team-oriented workshop environment

Qualification & experience

* Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent trade qualification — ESSENTIAL

* Minimum 2 years post-trade experience as a motor mechanic

* Demonstrated experience servicing and repairing multiple major vehicle brands

* Experience with automotive electrical systems desirable (Certificate III in Automotive Electrical

(Technology is advantageous)

* Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and workshop management software

* Valid Australian driver's license

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

* Excellent communication skills and commitment to exceptional customer service
