The Role: Location: Happy Valley, Adelaide SA Duration: 48-month Apprenticeship As a Flooring Installer Apprentice, you will gain hands on experience in the building and construction industry, learning from skilled professionals while working on a variety of flooring projects around various Adelaide building sites. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include: Prepare floor surfaces for installation Install various flooring types including carpet, timber and vinyl Remove existing flooring Perform measurements and calculations Maintain a clean and safe work environment General labouring duties as required Travel between worksites (travel allowance may be claimable, conditions apply) About You: To be successful in this Apprenticeship, you will be: Motivated with a strong work ethic A team player who can also work independently Love working hands-on and enjoy physical work Have strong problem-solving skills Reliable and eager to learn Role Requirements: Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle Good physical fitness to perform manual tasks Be willing to complete a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol screen Completed a Certificate II in Construction Pathways or similar (desirable) Benefits: Complete a free, nationally recognised Certificate III in Flooring Technology Possible eligibility to access the Australian Apprenticeship Support Loan Full time, Monday to Friday with a Rostered Day Off (RDO) Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided Ongoing mentoring and support from a dedicated Maxima Consultant About Maxima: Maxima is a leading Group Training Organisation - we manage recruitment, placement and ongoing support of trainees and apprentices on behalf of our host employers.
